My artistic style or technique is versatile; one could say „figurative-abstract style.“ I engage intensively with painting and have a passionate joy in experimenting. I am always searching for new techniques and insights, new possibilities for image creation. My works reflect a wide variety of motifs and technical implementation; artistic means are used across an enormous range. I don’t follow trends; I paint according to my feelings; I always want to remain myself.
People are often the focus of my work. Whether as individuals, in a group, or in a crowd, I express a wide variety of perceptions and feelings.
With my decades of experience in the visual arts, theatre, and education, my work usually has a narrative feel. Capturing moments and thoughts is the idea behind it; the image I paint is the result of my imagination and the way I perceive the world around me.

My paintings exhibit a rare duality:
Acrylic paintings that exhibit a meditative, multi-layered depth.
Watercolors that breathe and capture movement; they are spontaneous, as if time itself glides through the colors.
I love watercolor painting because you can let not only the colors flow, but also your thoughts and feelings. The „sometimes seen“ is painted as if I were just passing by, leaving fleeting traces with the brush and paint, as if I hadn’t had time to linger. For me, this style of watercolor painting reflects our age; everything passes quickly; there’s no time to pause or stand still. This is in keeping with the reductionist approach; the stored memory is compressed to its essentials.
Career
Born in Banat (Romania), I graduated from the High School for Fine Arts (Liceul de arte Plastice) in Timisoara. In addition to studying Romance and German at the University of Timisoara (graduating with a diploma in philology), I trained as a mask and wig artist at the Timisoara State Opera. For over 38 years, I have lived and worked in Germany as a freelance artist and makeup artist for TV, film, and theatre. Between 2002 and 2010, I was a lecturer at the Rhein-Pfalz District Adult Education Center, teaching drawing and watercolor painting.
